Square One endorses Chris Pappas (NH-Sen)
Today, Square One announced its endorsement of Chris Pappas for the U.S. Senate in New Hampshire.
“Granite Staters deserve someone who will fight for them in the US Senate. Square One is proud to support Chris because he is rooted in New Hampshire’s values: hard work, fairness, and never backing down from a fight,” said Tony Vargas, Executive Director of Square One.
Chris understands that the people in his state and across the country are working harder than ever just to make ends meet. “I am grounded in the people, places, and values of the state of New Hampshire and am running to bring a new generation of leadership to Washington to take on a system rigged to benefit the corporate special interests while making life harder for Granite Staters,” said Chris Pappas.
Since 2018, Chris has held one of the most competitive House seats in the country, and made history as the first out gay person to represent New Hampshire in Congress. Before running for the House, he served three terms on New Hampshire’s Executive Council, and ran his family’s 108-year-old landmark restaurant in Manchester. He learned about working hard in his family’s small business, and he has brought that spirit to his fights in elected office. He has been focused on pushing for tax cuts for working families and small businesses, lowering the cost of health care and prescription drug costs, and investing in renewable energy.
“Square One knows that Chris Pappas will be the fighter for Granite Staters and working families. He’ll stand up against price gouging, tariffs, and the chaos in Washington,” said Tony Vargas. New Hampshire’s Senate seat is one that Democrats must hold in November and it will be a real fight but Chris is up to the job.
“I am grateful for the support of Square One Politics and eager to work together to change the way Washington works, lower costs, and push back against this corrupt administration and the corporate special interests. I will work with anyone to help hardworking people and middle-class families get ahead, and take on anyone to do what’s best for New Hampshire,” said Chris Pappas.
