Lianna brings over a decade of experience advancing progressive causes and electing candidates up and down the ballot to Square One. She has deep expertise in budget management, training, and operations, with a proven track record of building and scaling high-impact political programs.

Lianna previously held several senior roles at the Democratic National Committee, including Budget Director, National States Budget Director, and National State Operations Director, where she managed complex projects, and supported state parties across the country electing Democrats during the historic 2020 and 2022 cycles. Prior to the DNC, she served as Senior Director of National Training at EMILYs List, training women to run for office or work on a campaign through Run to Win, the organization’s signature program that launched in 2017. 

In 2016, Lianna was the Virginia Training Director for Hillary for America, overseeing the campaign’s statewide training program in a winning battleground state. She has also held roles at Enroll America, helping Americans sign up for coverage made available thanks to the Affordable Care Act, and on Elizabeth Warren’s 2012 U.S. Senate campaign.

Lianna earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Clark University. She also holds an Executive Certificate in Social Impact from the University of Pennsylvania. A proud Michigander, Lianna currently resides in Washington, D.C. with her husband.
